Apple iPad

Over the years Apple has introduced several very innovative products, few of them have been as innovative as the iPad however. It is one of those products that could completely change the way that computing is done. That being said so far its uses have been fairly limited as people are still trying to determine what it should be used for.

The Apple iPad is one of the most revolutionary computing products to come along in years. A lot of people have dismissed it as being just a larger version the iPhone but this is clearly not the case. Although the iPad does use the same operating system as the iPhone it is a much more capable device. That being said there is still quite a ways to go before it reaches its full potential. The belief is that the iPad will one day completely replace the laptop; this is a long ways from happening given the current performance of the iPad.

There really isn't much to say about the appearance of the iPad it is really just a large screen. There are of course a few other things that are necessary to operate it but for the most part the screen is the only thing there. The result is a tablet that is very easy to carry around which is why a lot of people hope that the iPad will replace the laptop. However the other thing that you will notice is that there is no keyboard, clearly this is a problem for people who need to be do a lot of typing.

By and large you can do anything with you iPad that you could with any other computer. It is actually better suited than a laptop for things like watching videos or playing games because of the excellent screen that comes with the iPad. It is also ideally suited for reading ebooks which seems to be one of the things that it was designed for. You also get a lot of the features that you would find on a smart phone which makes the iPad a lot more useful for a lot of purposes than a laptop would be.

While the iPad is a neat piece of technology that may well completely change the world of computing it is hard to see who would need it. Most of the things that you can do with the iPad can also be done with a smart phone and those that can't are by and large better done with a laptop. Undoubtedly there are people who will want the iPad to do things like watch videos or play games but it is hard to see there being a huge demand for just this purpose. That being said sales have been strong so there are clearly people who are finding uses for it.
